Because I start with an abstracted characterisation of the technical or commercial problem and Inventive Principles which can be applied to all technical problems and many commercial problems, I can go some distance towards solutions and then need domain knowledge. I have domain knowledge in the areas I have ticked, but not to specialist levels, and I know when a specialist is needed. I can then find them.
