As a leader of customer service team, I succeeded in finding a highly optimized solution in achieving absolute flatness in high strength steel by analyzing and controlling process parameters, there by improving the prime yield to 98.89% (Considered a benchmark not only in TATA STEEL but also in Nippon Steel) and reducing the cost of salvaging by 30%, An achievement that has provided JCAPCPL a competitive advantage over it’s competitors in automotive sector. JCAPCPL has got 100% participation in supplying inner panel components in Toyota Innova Crysta and in TUV 300 Mahindra & Mahindra Model.
2. As a manager of operation team, I have built certain key tools such as i) periodic analysis of process capability, ii) Establishing daily monitoring system (Data control chart, defect trend analysis, skill improvement of team members) iii) Developing the operation team’s ability to achieve higher production rate by de- bottlenecking the operating constraints through PDCA (Plan do check Action ) philosophy, which helped to maintain a consistent Overall Equipment Ratio (A factor deals with quality, production volume and runtime) i.e. 97.2 %, thereby achieving smooth and fastest production ramp up (From 10000 Ton to 40000 ton within 1 year and customer approval process within 6 months), well ahead of annual business plan.
