I believe that all inventors have an innate ability to see that something can be made to make life simpler, and also items that are already on the market even simpler. I guess you can call it OCD the minute I see something that is just not right, I cannot stop thinking about it, if I cannot resolve it in moments, I write it down so as to come back to it and not over think it and just let it happen.
