I look at various scenarios in which the problem is sitatuatied.. if the problem is wel defined I can look for possible alterntives either in the same I industry or by looking outside of that to find a simple solution that has been implemented ina another field that is easily transferable.
Another way would be to keep defining the problem until It is identified as the root problem and not the surface details.. then from there it would be easy to start to branch out and test possible ways it could be solved.
