Areas Sam Davis is Knowledgeable in:
Precious metals, rare earths, titanium, tantalum and niobium industries are where much of my experience is. However, I feel my background in chemical engineering and metallurgy allows me to work on a broad range of hot topics, like energy, green technology, biotechnology, thin films and coatings, new products, etc. . .
Techniques Sam Davis Uses:
teamwork, literature/patent search, knowledge and experience, experimentation, data collection and analysis, regulatory information, industrial standards, continuous improvement, etc. . .

Sam Davis's Problem Solving Experience:
- I developed a patent pending technology to add boron to silver and gold alloys with sodium borohydride, etc., which enabled the launch of numerous new products and improvements to existing products.
- I developed a method to detect chlorine in a gas stream and a method to control the emissions.
- I developed a process to recycle 12 gpm of wastewater in the Kroll titanium leaching process and presented a paper on the results at a symposium.
- I developed a method to measure the tarnish resistance of silver alloys and published a paper on it.
