Veronica Perran

Veronica Perran Human behavioral patterns- it's interesting how we dash through life claiming that we want to connect more authentically with others. And yet, many of us never move past living on the surface of life! I've always found this to be one of the biggest contradictions of mankind. Is it because we're so caught up- in holding the status quo of SOCIALLY ACCEPTED PRETENTIOUS BEHAVIOR? Or is it because the definition of " connection" has been diluted over the last few decades?

To gain a better understanding human behavioral patterns, let the reader start with self-analysis. I challenge you to a 21day test...in which time. You'll start an "Authentic Behavioral Journal."

Challenge Outline: Recognize & Appreciate The VALUE You See In Others

Step #1: Chose three persons that you interact with on an average of 2-5 times per month. Approach them as if you're meeting them for the first time, and building an exciting new bond. But this time...see them through new eyes. See them as someone of intrigue, uniqueness, and fun to engage with each time you are sharing space.

Step#2: Log the differences you notice/feel, within yourself when interacting with them with this new outlook of yours. Do this for each person on your list, without telling them why you seem to be behaving unusual, if this is the case. Do this exercise daily for 21 days.

Final Step: Write a short summary of your discovery, noting how your perception of the person(s) and of yourself have changed. Be sure to post your research findings for us to read and comment on. Remember: have fun with this exercise-- " Let's get off the surface of life and truly connect with others. And become the kind of person, you want to be around."
