Veronica Sotomayor's Training:

I have a M. Sc in Biology with a major in Molecular Biology, and a PhD in Biological Chemistry in the area of toxicological science. I had a postdoctoral position in Biotechnology. At the present time I am an MBA Candidate. Fluent in english.
I acted as a Member of an Evaluation Committee for the National Agency for Science and Technology Promotion of Argentina in the aim to select a candidate for a research scholarship for a Startup Project in 2015.
Being a Full Member of the Institutional Health and Biosafety Committee (H&S) of PROBIEN Institute from 2011 to 2015 and since 2016 at CITAAC Institute, we promoted and maintained the interest of employees in H&S issues by developing protocols, elaborating recommendations to the institutional council and the coordination of special trainings.
As a Member of As2014 Young Organization Committee for the 5th International Congress on Arsenic in the Environment I was in charged of the web development and the social networks (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook).
For the last years I have been asked to participate as Ad hoc Journal Reviewer in indexed journals (J. Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, J. Ecotoxicology, J. Bioanalysis & Biomedicine).
Acted as a Full Member of the Institutional Self-Evaluation Process of PROBIEN Institute in 2012, commissioned by the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research in Argentina.
I Evaluated 2 pre-graduate thesis at University of Comahue, School of Health and Environment (2006).
Invited Lecturer at Dr. Saulius Sumanas Lab (Cinncinati Children´s Hospital, CINNCINATI, OH) and at Dr. Xyangiun Wei lab (Pittsburgh University, School of Medicine - Pittsburgh, PA). U.S. 2010.

Veronica Sotomayor's Experience:

I have been working as a researcher in the most recognized institution of R&D in Argentina for the past 12 yrs. My teaching experience (11 yrs in med school) has enhanced my capacities in information gathering and synthesis, my presentation skills and management of large groups of people (+250). I have expertise in HR training and in analysis/evaluation of documents since I have been participating as a member in several committees, as a director or collaborator in several projects/grants, and as an invited reviewer in indexed journals. As a Research Associate I find myself confident and well prepared to converge my knowledge in science (specialized in Cystic Fibrosis, Metabolic Diseases and Genetic Disorders) as I apply the gained experience in management of people (Medical Doctors, MD students, pregrad and graduate students) and projects.
