Make a mattress that is in 6 to 8 to 10 sections. These sections fit together to form the rectangle shape of the mattress. The bed is covered with a mattress pad and mattress cover to help the bed keep it’s shape and for added comfort. If a section gets worn or damaged, the section can be replaced without the expense of buying a new mattress.

1:place sections together
2: Put mattress pad over sections
3: put mattress cover over to hold it all together
If A section get worn, It could be interchanged with another.
You could be able to buy replacement sections without the need to replace the whole mattress.
This makes the idea a lot more affordable for those on fixed income or low income families that still want a comfortable mattress to sleep on.

Besides, have you ever tried to move into an apartment when the mattress won’t go up the stairs. Now it can be moved around in sections.
