3D Print Your Own Biodegradable Underwear

3D Print Your Own Biodegradable Underwear
Nov-14-13
Soon you may be able to 3D print your own clothing with the biodegradable and completely customizable fabric Cosyflex, from Tamicare.

The material, invented by a husband and wife team, is printed into the desired form using a spray technique, by which a spray nozzle on the printer creates layers of rubber-latex polymer and cotton fibers. The process is fully automatic, and can print a pair of underwear in less than three seconds. The density of the material can be specified, ranging from delicate fabrics to heavier, thicker materials.

Tamicare’s material could also extend to sportswear, fashion and medical supplies (one British company will be selling the Tamicare compression bandages in the UK).
