3D-Printed GoChair Offers a Custom Ride

3D-Printed GoChair Offers a Custom Ride
May-09-16
The 3D-printed GoChair from Layer Design offers more a more comfortable, bespoke wheelchair at an affordable price.

Each GoChair is designed after first mapping the user’s body shape and weight to ensure the correct fit. That information is then used to print the seat and foot bay—the two main areas of the chair that are meant to support the user’s weight. After the two pieces have been custom printed, they are attached to the titanium frame and its carbon fiber wheels. The user can also select their color via an app, and the company states that the 3D-printing technology allows them to build and deliver a chair within two weeks.
