5saver Light/Mask/Alarm Fire Evacuation Mask

Oct-26-13 The 5aver combination lantern, alarm and mask could significantly improve the chances of survival when escaping from a burning building.

Designed to be mounted on the wall, the 5aver’s lantern section and the alarm will turn on automatically when the device is removed—providing both visibility and an audible signal for rescue teams. The mask can be detached from the device and placed around the nose and mouth, filtering out smoke, carbon monoxide and other airborne particles with its pre-filter, hopcalite filter and HEPA filter. The 5aver also comes in a portable version.

The 5aver name is based on the fact that it becomes more difficult for firefighters to enter a burning building five minutes after the start of the fire, reducing their chances of finding survivors by five to seven percent for each passing minute.
