AerNos Wearable Detects Glucose in Gases

AerNos Wearable Detects Glucose in Gases
Dec-31-19
The non-invasive AerNos wearable sensor from AerBetic monitors blood glucose levels through the breath, eliminating the need for needles.

Inspired by the skilled noses of dogs trained as alert animals for diabetics, the AerNos device is equipped with sensors able to detect blood glucose levels in exhaled breath. It can be worn as a pendant or bracelet, and pairs with a smartphone to provide accurate glucose level information quickly and painlessly. The AerNos system will improve over time to suit the specifics of the individual patient, and the companion app can be set to send reminders or share the date with caregivers or physicians.
