Researchers at the University of Toronto have developed a way to create affordable, printed perovskite solar cells.
Typically, manufacturing the electron-selective layer (ESL) in perovskite solar cells involves high temperatures, which limits the materials that can be used. To overcome this obstacle, the team developed a chemical process that allows the ESL to be grown in a solution, which can then be bound to the perovskite layer without the need for extreme heat.
