Developed with low- to middle-income countries in mind, the nylon prostheses can be fine-tuned to fit the individual’s size and weight based on a specialized design framework created by the researchers. Armed with this mathematical model, the prosthetic foot can be mass-produced for affordability while still providing a comfortable and natural gait.
