After-Surgery Cart Gives Kids Mobility

After-Surgery Cart Gives Kids Mobility
Apr-11-17
The Gillette Prone Cart gives children more mobility and comfort as they recover from back surgery.

The cart, created by the team at Gillette Children’s hospital, was designed specifically for children who are recovering from selective dorsal rhizotomy surgery—a treatment for cerebral palsy symptoms. The cart allows the children, who must lie prone for weeks as their backs heal, a degree of mobility and independence. The large wheels in the front of the cart let the child push it themselves, and the carts can be adjusted to different sizes.

Also old people may need mobility. Are there beds, which can easily be changed into e-wheelchairs by one’s own? Or personnel move patients for daytime to lite e-wheelchairs, which can be used also as beds.
