The Aipoly app helps the visually impaired navigate their world by identifying objects, with no internet connection required.
The Aipoly uses the smartphone’s camera and speaker, along with its own image-recognition software, to identify an object and then speak that object’s name aloud. Once activated by the app, the camera will capture any object pointed at it, with no need to snap a picture. The Aipoly app is also designed to learn and improve, and the team expects it to be able to describe complex scenes as it becomes even smarter with use.
