Algae-Powered Car

Sep-11-09 The world's first algae-powered car is attempting to cross the USA on 25 gallons of green crude. A Prius was fitted with a nickel metal hydride battery and a plug - the engine required no modifications.

Sapphire Energy is supplying the algae fuel for the car, but doesn't expect it to be sold at gas stations any time soon.
