The cardboard Aryzon VR headset aims to bring augmented reality to the masses.
While current VR headsets are priced as high as $3000, the team at Aryzon hopes to cut those costs with their $30, cardboard-based device. In contrast to typical headsets, the Aryzon VR goggles are meant for use with objects within arm’s reach. Interaction with the objects is controlled via virtual buttons rather than hand gestures, and although the interaction possibilities are less wide ranging, the Aryzon system still delivers high-quality images at a significantly lower cost.
