Axon Body Camera Could Protect Police and Civilians

Axon Body Camera Could Protect Police and Civilians
Aug-28-14
The Taser Axon Body camera is specifically meant to be worn by law enforcement to help increase their level of accountability—protecting both the police and the civilians.

The Taser Axon Body camera is not the first wearable camera to hit the market, but its features have been optimized for law enforcement duties. The sturdy, box-shaped camera includes a 130-degree wide-angle lens and a variety of body mounting options, and the captured video can be automatically uploaded—either to the local unit or to the EVIDENCE.com website—when the unit is docked for charging.

The camera is also constantly recording on a 30-second buffer, which means it will capture the events leading up to the 'action.' Once the camera has been manually triggered to record, it will save the previous 30 seconds and continue to record the scene, giving a greater sense of the situation and relieving the need to rely on the video evidence from late-comers with cell phones.
