Axon Signal Sidearm Starts Recording When the Gun is Drawn

Axon Signal Sidearm Starts Recording When the Gun is Drawn
Mar-01-17
The Axon Signal Sidearm system will automatically active an officer’s body camera when they draw their weapon from their holster.

Designed to work with the company’s line of dash and wearable cameras, the Axon Signal Sidearm can be attached to existing firearm holsters. When the system’s sensor detects a firearm has been drawn, it triggers an Axon camera—both body cameras and dash cameras—within 30 feet to begin recording. This allows footage to be gathered from multiple angles, valuable when analyzing the confrontation later.
