Beat Diaphragm Ultra-Flexible Speaker

Feb-05-13 With the emergence of the Beat diaphragm rollable speaker from Fujifilm, one day we may be slipping our speakers in our pockets.

The speaker is made from a polymer that remains soft enough to be folded when not in use, but becomes stiff when subjected to the standard speaker range of 20Hz to 20kHz. The sound is created by the integrated piezoelectric ceramics.


Fujifilm demonstrated the flexibility of the speaker by displaying it in a roll-up form along with an origami and fan version.
