BiliScreen Tests for Cancer with Selfies

BiliScreen Tests for Cancer with Selfies
Aug-29-17
The innovative BiliScreen smartphone app screens for pancreatic cancer with selfies.

Developed by a team from Washington State University, the BiliScreen device works with the smartphone’s camera to detect elevated levels of bilirubin in the whites of the eye. Because elevated levels of bilirubin are an indicator of pancreatic cancer, the device could offer an early warning indicator of the disease without the need for a blood test.
