Bio-Spread Kills Cancer Cells

Jul-28-19 A spreadable biomaterial that delivers chemotherapies directly into the tissue offers a new way to treat brain cancer.

The biodegradable paste was developed by a team from the University of Nottingham, and contains two chemo agents. It is meant to be applied to the target area after surgery, where the gel will gradually degrade and release the chemo agents to kill any remaining cancer cells.
