BioClay Protects Plants Naturally

BioClay Protects Plants Naturally
Jan-16-17
The innovative BioClay offers a pesticide-free alternative for protecting crops from pests and disease.

Developed by the team from University of Queensland, the BioClay fights diseases by triggering the plant’s own natural protective response. Delivered to the plant as the spray, the BioClay consists of microscopic sheets of clay that have been embedded with double-stranded RNA. When the spray is applied, the plant is tricked into thinking it is being attacked by a disease or pest, which triggers its natural protective response.
