Bosch BML100PI Makes Surfaces Smart

Bosch BML100PI Makes Surfaces Smart
Jan-12-19
Bring your furniture into the Internet of Things with the BML100PI touchscreen-projecting modules from Bosch.

The modules, currently designed for manufacturers rather than individuals, measure only 1.9 x 1.7 inches—small enough to be embedded into an appliance or piece of furniture. Once in place, the BML100PI can project an interactive touchscreen onto up to six different surfaces, while a laser beam scans the image line-by-line to detect finger movements and gestures. No additional calibration is required, and the Bosch team believes the ‘virtual assistant’ module could have applications ranging from smart homes to larger environments such as warehouses and environmental technology.
