Bosch E-stroller Adjusts to the Terrain

Sep-10-19 Bosch’s new e-stroller invention provides automatic assistance to increase both comfort and safety while taking baby for a walk.

The e-stroller is equipped with a pair of low-noise electric motors on the rear axle and smart sensors that detect the stroller’s speed and acceleration as well as terrain. This data is crunched by an algorithm that then adjusts the stroller automatically, such as applying the brake if the stroller is suddenly released on a downhill or providing gentle uphill assistance. The e-stroller also communicates with a companion app via Bluetooth, which allows the parent to choose the level of assist or set the brake-and-siren theft-prevention alarm.
