Brane Craft Wraps Space Debris in a Destructive Hug

Apr-12-17 The Brane Craft wraps around orbiting space junk, forcing it into the atmosphere for incineration.

Offered as an option to help clear our orbit of space debris, the Brane Craft was conceived by Dr. Siegfried Janson of The Aerospace Corporation, and was recently awarded a Phase II grant from NASA for further development.

Made up of a membrane thinner than a human hair, the Brane Craft also includes integrated power and navigation controls. The craft can change its size and shape while in orbit, allowing it to wrap around space debris and then bring them into Earth’s atmosphere, where they will then burn up.
