Bridgestone's Airless Tires to Debut at Tokyo Olympics

Bridgestone's Airless Tires to Debut at Tokyo Olympics
Jan-27-20
Airless tires have been a long time coming, but Bridgestone is set to provide a fleet of bicycles with non-pneumatic tires in this year's Olympics.

Speculating that public adoption of these radical tires might be slow, Bridgestone is targeting truck operations, as tires are a critical component of keeping their fleets on the road.

Airless tires won't puncture or need to be refilled as they are built of recycled, high-strength thermoplastic resin spokes.
