Carboard Drone Degrades After Delivery

Carboard Drone Degrades After Delivery
Jan-18-17
The cardboard APSARA systems drones are designed to biodegrade after delivering their assigned cargo.

Created by Otherlab and funded by DARPA, the Aerial Platform Supporting Autonomous Resupply Actions system makes use of the DARPA team’s previously developed self-destructing electronics.

This technology has been applied to the cardboard drones, which are designed to be deployed in large groups by a cargo plane. The drones will fly like a glider, requiring no onboard motor, and are each equipped with a small computer and sensor array that allows them to make small course corrections in order to reach their designated location.
