Ceres Smart Ear Tag Tracks Cattle Health

Nov-20-18 A smart ear tag from Ceres Tag helps ranchers keep track of their livestock and their health.

Developed by Australia’s CSIRO and Ceres Tag, the solar-powered smart tag attaches to the cow’s ear, where its onboard GPS lets ranchers track the animal’s location on their computer. The system can also detect if the animal is unwell or disturbed based on unusual movements, with an automatic alert sent to a paired device.
