A digital cutting board for the kitchens of the future, the Chop-Sync displays recipes, automatically adjusts for servings and features a built-in scale.
At its most basic, the Chop-Sync is a tablet computer embedded in a cutting board. The prototype was designed by Siobhán Andrew for Sharp in response to rising obesity rates. The original goal of the Chop-Sync was to help users regulate portions, and its software was specifically created to automatically adjust recipes to the number of people dining. Users can save favorite recipes and measure individual ingredients on the built-in scale, and because the Chop-Sync is Wi-Fi enabled, cooks can also browse recipes from their kitchen.
The surface of the Chop-Sync is scratchproof and designed for kitchen use, and it charges wirelessly.
