Clarke Recycling Robot Learns on the Job

Clarke Recycling Robot Learns on the Job
Jul-23-17
The AI-enabled Clarke robot makes sorting recycling easier by automatically recognizing food and beverage containers.

The Clarke robot was developed by AMP Robotics and is currently at use in a waste facility in Denver. The bot relies on a visible-light camera to recognize food and beverage cartons and retrieve them with its suction-equipped robotic arm. Not only is Clarke 90 percent accurate in choosing recyclable waste, it will also ‘learn’ on the job to increase its abilities.
