Commuter Trucker Jacket is Levi's First Smart Jacket

Mar-16-17 The Commuter Trucker Jacket from Google and Levi’s is the first in the companies’ new line of smart clothing.

The result of Project Jacquard, the Commuter Trucker Jacket is woven through with a conductive yarn which allows the user to touch the clothing and control it like a touchscreen. In the case of the Commuter Trucker Jacket, the wearer can make simple gestures on a section on the left sleeve to trigger different smartphone commands.

While the jacket seems to be aimed primarily at the urban cyclists at the moment, the companies are inviting third-party developers to contribute to the project.
