Cora Ball Captures Fibers for Cleaner Oceans

Cora Ball Captures Fibers for Cleaner Oceans
Apr-11-17
The Cora Ball helps prevent ocean pollution by capturing microfibers in laundry before they can make their way into the water system.

Developed as part of the Rozalia Project, the CoraBall was created to help reduce the amount of microfibers that can end up the oceans, and was inspired by the structure of natural coral. Made of recycled plastic, the CoraBall can be tossed in the washer or dryer with the laundry, where it will collect the microfibers from the clothing and hold them until they can be disposed of in the trash.

According to the team, one CoraBall can capture up to 35 percent of the microfibers per load.
