Creating Fabric-Based OLEDs

Creating Fabric-Based OLEDs
Dec-01-16
A new OLED technology that enables the displays to function on textiles could pave the way to a new generation of truly wearable displays.

Although flexible OLEDs are not new, the technology is a compromise between flexibility and durability. The new technology, developed by teams from KAIST and Kolon Glotech, overcomes previous limitations by making use of a planarized fabric created by the team that is flat like glass, yet remains flexible like fabric. The OLED was then formed on the fabric via a vacuum thermal deposition process, resulting in a fabric OLED with a lifespan of more than 1000 hours.

Also physical and mental feelings could be turned into music. Are people then willing even to show that all? Combining Motion Sonic Wristband (Mar-27-17) and Creating Fabric-Based OLEDs (Dec-1-16) it could be done with sport and disco clothes. At least dating would be easier, when dates could see already from clothes whether this is a perfect match or not.
