Credit Card Lets Users Key in Password

Nov-11-12 The new Display Card from MasterCard features an LCD display and touch-sensitive buttons, which could help make online banking and buying a bit smoother.

Manufactured by NagraID Security, the Display Card allows the user to create a One-Time Password (OTP) for added authentication. Because many banks require a separate method of identification for online or high-risk transfers, the new card could help streamline the online banking process by eliminating the need for a separate authentication token.

The developers also believe the Display Card could eventually incorporate additional functions, such as indicating available credit balance, reward points and recent transactions.
