Deep-Learning Powered Baidu Pocket Translator

Mar-29-18 The Baidu pocket translator opens communication doors with its deep-learning neural networks.

The Baidu translator connects to the internet, where it accesses the company’s cloud-based translation software to convert English, Chinese and Japanese. In a demonstration, the device was able to offer a near-instant translation of a brief conversation in Mandarin and English. As an added bonus, the Baidu translator can also function as a WiFi hotspot.

The team has planned to add to more languages to the system, as well as broaden its current lease-only market.
