Deltaprintr Aims to Bring 3D Printing to the Masses
Dec-30-13
The simple and affordable Deltaprintr 3D printer is based on an unusual pole and fishing line design which the developers hope will help to bring 3D printing technology to the masses.

Already surpassing its funding goal on Kickstarter, the Deltaprintr is equipped with a 4mm tip that allows it to print at a 100 micro resolution. Its open air design eliminates the need for extraneous print-head movements, so it prints more quickly, and it can be easily expanded to enable it to print taller objects. The printer is also fitted with an automatic calibration probe and requires minimal set up—making it easy for newcomers to 3D printing to get started right away.

A fully assembled Deltaprintr costs only $675.
