The disposable WatchPAT One sleep apnea test from Itamar Medical is fully disposable after use, reducing costs as well as the risks of infection.Recently receiving FDA clearance, the WatchPAT One is a disposable, $100 version of Itamar Medical’s clinic-based $5000 unit. Ideal for clinics with limited resources, the WatchPAT One communicates via Bluetooth with a companion app to relay information from the wearable device to the patient’s smartphone. That data can then be accessed by the physician at the end of the sleep study, and the device simply thrown away.
