E-Kayak Kit Does the Paddling for You

Mar-02-15 The E-Kayak kit from Klepper lets users take a break from paddling while the solar-powered electric motor does the work.

Designed for use with Klepper's Aerius folding kayaks, the kayak kit comes with an electric motor with a carbon propeller, sealed rechargeable battery, and a digital control unit that mounts in the cockpit. The propeller can be raised or lowered from the cockpit of the kayak, and the motor will turn off automatically if the rudder touches the bottom of the lake or stream.

To keep you on the water all day, Keppler offers optional solar panels that fit on top of the kayak and keep the battery charged while also providing power for small devices like GPS, mobile phones or lights.
