The EcoQube C fish tank takes some of the hassle out of aquarium maintenance by using a plant to keep the water clean.
Essentially a desktop aquaphonics system, the EcoCube C keeps the tank water clean via the symbiotic relationship between the fish and plant. A pump on the tank sends the water up from the aquarium to a plant on top (the developers suggest mint or basil), which filters the water and uses the fish waste as nutrients. The clean water then travels back down into the tank.
The EcoCube C has already far exceeded its funding goal on Kickstarter.
