EMG Wristband Offers Hands-Off Control

EMG Wristband Offers Hands-Off Control
Apr-21-18
The EMG wristband from CTRL-Labs could allow users to control their computers without the need for peripheral devices, such as a mouse or keyboard.

The wristband is equipped with sensors able to detect the voltage bursts created by the arm muscles when they contract. Those electrical signals are then analyzed by an algorithm that translates the impulses to trigger the same motions in a ‘virtual hand.’ In addition to allowing hands-off computer control, the device could also be used to manipulate medical tools or VR game controls.
