Ethicon Reveals New Knotless Sutures

Aug-27-16 The new knotless suture devices from Ethicon are designed for use in different areas of the body, such as organs or skin.

The devices join Ethicon’s line of medical tools, and offer two new specialty tasks. The STRATAFIX Sprial PDS Plus can be used stitch organs or deep tissue, while the STRATFIX Spiral Monocryl Plus is meant for use on skin and fat. Both devices are equipped with an antibacterial coating and are able to withstand high pull strengths, and come in bidirectional and unidirectional designs.
