Extra-Large Textile Trackpad

Extra-Large Textile Trackpad
May-27-17
The Textile Trackpad invention from Madison Maxey can turn an entire tabletop into a single, large trackpad.

The smart fabric was developed in part to demonstrate the potential and applications of Loomia’s smart fabric. The trackpad features an Adafruit Flora microcontroller and conductive fabric strips that have been arranged in a grid pattern, along with capacitive touch boards. A top cover conceals the interior workings, and the system will also provide some amount of haptic feedback.
