Eyemate Implant Measures Pressure at Home

Eyemate Implant Measures Pressure at Home
Nov-20-17
The Eyemate from Implandata is implanted in the eye to continuously measure intraocular pressure throughout the day.

While intraocular pressure (IOP) is usually done at the doctor’s office, the measurements are taken infrequently and can vary drastically. To offer a more effective method, the Eyemate system relies on an implant in the eye and a handheld sensor the patient holds in front of their eye to take a pressure reading. The results take only seconds, allowing the medication to be properly adjusted as needed.
