Faun Trackway Truck Brings the Road with It

Jul-20-16 Designed for use in remote areas, the Faun Trackway truck brings its own road—and then rolls it up after it’s done.

Developed by the Wales company Faun Trackway, the Trackway truck is equipped with a system of thin aluminum extrusions able to roll out to form a temporary road on difficult terrains like ice or mud. The road can support vehicles up to 70 metric tons, and the Trackway truck can deploy 50 meters of the road in only six minutes.

The Faun Trackway has already been in use in military operations, and is now finding its way into humanitarian operations.
