Flame Stower Charges Devices using Any Open Flame

Flame Stower Charges Devices using Any Open Flame

Keep your mobile devices charged off the grid or during power failures with the ultra-portable FlameStower, a temperature differential harnessing device that will work with any open flame.

While an array of fire-harnessing charging devices are currently on the market, the FlameStower differs in that it will work with any open flame—so it can be used while camping or during power outages. The simple and portable device consists of a ‘blade’ meant to be placed in the flame, a water reservoir and a set of fold-out legs. The heat from the blade is transferred to one side of the generator, while the other side is kept cool by the water. This difference in temperature is then used by the generator to create electricity.

The FlameStower has already doubled its funding goal on Kickstarter.
