Floating Aeroballs Clean the Air

Nov-14-12 The Aeroball concept takes air-purifying devices to a new level, filtering the air in the home with small glowing balls that float around the room.

Designed by Jan Ankiersztajn of Poland, the Aeroballs float around the room using helium, where they filter and add fragrance to the air in the room and sink to the ground when they need re-charging. The balls also absorb light during the day, allowing them to create a soft illumination at night that adds to the over-all sensory experience.

The Aeroballs won first place in the 10th annual Electrolux Design Lab competition. This year’s theme was Design Experience, challenged participants to design a home appliance that also provides a fuller, holistic sensory experience.
