Fly Elephant Flying 3D Printer

Fly Elephant Flying 3D Printer
Mar-03-18
The Fly Elephant flying 3D printer from DediBot takes to the air to create rapid prototypes of construction projects.

The prototype Fly Elephant ’s printing nozzle is fed the material—such as plastic or concrete—from a tube attached to the top of the device. The printer flies with the help of six rotors, and its path can be carefully plotted with software to offer an accuracy of 0.1 mm.

The team envisions the Fly Elephant having applications on standard construction projects, as well as projects underwater and in space.
