Flybotix Ring-Shaped Drone Flies Longer

Jul-16-19 The innovative bicopter ring-shaped drone can remain airborne twice as long as a quadcopter of the same size.

Developed by the startup Flybotix, the drone measures only 12 inches wide and is equipped with a pair of stacked, counter-rotating propellers that fit within its body. The pair of propellers are longer than would be found on a quadcopter of similar size, offering more lift and requiring less battery power to function. And because the props are contained, the small drone is ideal for inspecting fragile or hard to reach areas.
